Retail participation in the financial markets has increased tremendously due to technological advancements. The basic requirement of making a transaction in the share market has evolved from physical document submission and phone calls to a few taps on the mobile phone. A single share market app, which helps the user track the progress of the share market, make trades and observe their chart patterns, has become a modern-day necessity.

The Various Features Offered By A Stock Trading App

A good number of people who invest in the stock market are traditional investors. They benefit greatly from a feature-rich stock trading app that helps them keep track of the following:

    • Live market feed: This includes the ability to view live market data and analyze the charts in real time.
    • Customizable watchlists: Users have the option to view the stocks they are interested in on a single page and track multiple stocks at the same time.
    • Easy order placement: The user can enter various order types to buy or sell their stocks. The advanced trading platforms also have risk management tools that help the user set stop-loss prices.
    • Portfolio tracking: This feature helps the user monitor the performance of their stock and mutual fund investments.

How To Open A Demat Account Through An Online Platform?

Demat accounts are essentially the digital repository for all the investor’s stocks, mutual funds, and other financial assets. The decision to open demat account online and set up a trading account in India has become extremely simple due to digitization and technological advancements. The process of opening a demat account is paperless and is usually completed within a short amount of time.

In the initial step, the user has to input their Permanent Account Number and Aadhaar details for verification. The information is encrypted and is used to verify the user through a video call. After the verification process, the user has to enter their bank details for future profit transfer. The online portal has an in-built payment system for faster clearance of payments. After the account is activated, the user receives the Beneficiary Owner ID or Demat ID, which allows them to keep track of all their financial assets in one place.

The Various Trading Facilities Offered Through The App

The users of a financial trading application can make cash market transactions or go for more complex derivative transactions such as online F&O trading.

There are two common types of derivative contracts in the Futures and Options segment – index futures and stock futures. Derivatives are mostly traded through online platforms because of the complex risk management tools and constant updates of margin requirements that are available on such portals. Futures contracts allow investors to hedge their existing stock portfolio against market fluctuations. On the other hand, options give investors the right, but not the obligation, to trade according to their prediction about the market.

    Conclusion

The financial technology revolution has been beneficial in almost every way for the investors who make regular market transactions. Through a single mobile application, one can easily open a trading account and a demat account. The user can seamlessly perform market transactions, hedge their portfolio against market fluctuations and keep track of all their financial assets in real time.
